Raccoons & Possums in the Attic
Raccoon families are very loving toward each other and are even willing to co-habitat with other critters… in a human family’s home.We recently set up traps for raccoons living in an attic and at first caught a couple of possums. Next, we set the traps to get the raccoon babies and one brother raccoon, who had apparently exited via a one-way door then stayed close to wait for his siblings. We proceeded to catch that raccoon too and kept the whole family together when we safely transported them to their new home: the woods. At another house, we found two entry points on either side of the roof where two separate raccoon families had created their own living lofts in the attic. It’s pretty easy for a clever raccoon mama to look for inadequately reinforced areas around roofs, soffits, eaves, etc. Mama can simply tear away a little mesh screen. (All Solutions All Pests provides exclusion work by which we better secure these areas of a house so that re-entry is not an option for the critters.)
Wildlife Removal by a Licensed Operator
The homeowner called us because they heard an odd dragging sound at night along the side of the house. What they were listening to was the sound of mama raccoon pulling her babies, one by one, back up into the attic. We expected to set the traps and the one-way door for these raccoons. Upon further inspection, we found that there were indeed two different raccoon families in the attic! We trapped them all and believe they are enjoying parkland much more!Remember, it’s important to use a licensed pest control operator when it comes to proper and safe removal of wildlife from a structure, such as a home or business. All Solutions All Pests provides pest control for residences and businesses to take care of rodents, such as rats and mice, birds, bats, wood destroying insects, including termites, and other insects, especially ants, roaches and bed bugs. All Solutions All Pests (ASAP), TPCL 733861
